Hi Gents,

I have a major issue with my truck's electronics at the moment.

Something has gone wrong with the system so bad that my mechanic cannot find the fault. Granted we have not run diagnostics on it yet.

So here are the symptoms, non working items in the truck.

4x4 system including differential lock.
Electric windows.
Central locking, yes the truck will not lock at all even the manual lock on the passenger side.
Speedometer.
Odometer.
Blower fan.
Indicators.
ABS.

All this happened today in one fell swoop.

Does any one perhaps know what the story is? Or has anyone else experience this before?

Hello,

There is an accessory relay that sounds like it has gone out or is not getting power. Here is a guide and the relay locations so you can test it to confirm the issue:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Hi Ken.

Thanks for the reply.

I found the problem. The battery has a fusible link on it. At the bottom of the it has two plugs. The plug on the right was corroded to the point of no return. I had to break open this unit and the plug to get to the wiring so I could make a plan. I have replaced that link with normal fuses and the vehicle is running perfectly again.
