My car is the R 320 model. My car has bad acceleration after filling the fuel tank. It has automatic gearbox.
After I fill the fuel (diesel) and start the trip the car has bad acceleration. It does not exceed 1500 rpm and delayed to reach maximum speeds even though I pushed the gas pedal to the end.

Then when I stopped the car and rest for more than thirty minutes and start the trip again it gain the power again and it reaches 100 km/h very fast.

Can anyone tell me why this happens everytime I fill the tank?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a primary pump that is going out and the weight of the fuel is causing the problem. Here is a guide that will give you an idea on what you are in for when doing the job.

Or you can cut a hole in the body, here is a diagram that will help you see what I'm talking about. (below)

Please let us know what happens, we are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken
