Fan fuse keeps blowing, my car keeps overheating, and the heater is not working

My car consistently overheats but won't turn the heat on. I replaced the radiator fans, but it still overheats. I've also done a coolant flush (haven't burped it). I went through about three fuses in one day.

Hello,

According to the schematics for this vehicle, it looks like there are two separate fan fuses. I've attached diagrams (below) for your reference. Have both fuses been blowing or just one? Do the fuses blow if the fan motors are not plugged in?

It sounds like possibly the wiring harness is shorting to ground somewhere on the vehicle.

It's just the fuse for the fan directly in front of the engine. I will keep you updated as I try to check the electrical harness. Thank you!

Good afternoon,

Just to add to this, try disconnecting the coolant sensor with the key in the on position and see if the fans kick on. By doing that, it sends a high temperature signal, and the ECM should turn on the fans.

Do the fans come on with the A/C on?
