My check engine and "Trac Off" lights have been on. They have replaced the solenoids, put on a new cam gear, and now it is back on and has rough idle while the truck is brake stopped. I don't see any smoke or notice any smells. Any answers?

Hello, I'm Danny.

Do you have any information as to what the codes were before they replaced those parts?Having the check engine light and Trac light on means there is a trouble codes stored in the vehicles computer. If you don't have access to a scanner/code reader most local auto parts stores will check for free or have a tool loaner program and will rent you one. Here is a tutorial showing what is involved:

After this is performed get back to us with the code numbers and we can then properly diagnose the problem with your vehicle.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
