I need help please.

I started the car drove of about one kilometer and the engine just cut off. I cranked the car theirs enough power to crank and the fuel pump is on with the ignition but no start. I have not checked for spark yet but my fan is direct on the ignition coil, so when I switch on the ignition the fan does not go on as it use to. So can it be the ignition coil cause if I unplug the fan from the coil and put it direct to the battery? The fan works but as soon as I place it back to the coils positive it does not go on with the ignition. So can it be the coil?

It sounds like with the fan connected it overloads the coil circuits which then overheat. I would reconnect the fan the way it should be here is a wiring diagram to help you rewire the fan motor.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
