A/C started blowing hot air

My AC started blowing hot air. My compressor is not engaging. I have five kids live in Florida got to have my air. I am on disability and my boyfriend is trying to fix it.

Good morning.

The first thing I would do is to see if it has Freon. If the system is low or out of Freon, the compressor will not come on.

Check all the fuses in the fuse block for power on both sides.
