Hi, I tried to start my car but (1)the engine kept cranking, (2)then tried push starting (it was promising to start but did not start), (3) than I tried jump starting it and (4) tried doing an over ride by starting the car on the starter but did not start?

Hey MANYATHELA,

If you have tried jump starting the vehicle and it turns over and is not slow to crank then i would advise you do not have a battery/starter issue.

Does it try to fire but not run?

Do you have access to a scanner?

Guide to checking for fault codes below.

Checking for codes is a good way to narrow down causes of the fault initially and can save a lot of time.

The next things to check would be fuel delivery, ignition and if it is not trying to fire at all an immobilizer issue.

Regards, Joe
