Mileage-124000km, 1460cc, 4G15 engine 4W drive DOHC 16valve 1996 model, manual transmission.

The car develops soot too fast on the plugs. When you look at them, it is as if there is some oil on them. There also seems to be some minor oil leaks at the top cover gasket position. The car har lost cosiderable power compared to earlier on.

What would be the problem

If it is soot and not oil, could be the o2 sensor or Mass Airflow Meter.I would do the o2 sensor first, much cheaper and should have already been replaced as preventative measure
