Hi,

I have recently been using the AC regulalry while drivin my 2001 Galant(87K Miles). However recently I noticed some sound from the direction of passenger side glove compartment whenever I made a sharp turn, which sounded like collected water flowing to one side due to the inertia of the turn. Today I also noticed the same ominous sign of teh front passnger side carpet all soaked up and th ewater seemd to be commin from under the glove compartment
Please advice, thanx in advance

Hi Lewis,
There is possbly a drain that is pluged in the wiper transmission area that is allowing water to collect and overflow.

Or there may also be a drain for the evaoporator plugged.

Do you see any water on the ground when the A/C is running? If not, then I would lean towards the evaporator drain. The drain hose should come out the firewall.

Hi,
Sorry for bieng so late in replying. Well I did get a ramp and went under the vehicle to locate the drain hose, but alas could no find it. Even my mechanic hosted the car up on a a hyrdaulic jack but could not find the drain hose. I have the Haynes repair manual whic too shows the hose but I just cant find it. Do u have any more illustrations/hints how I can get to locate it?
Thanks in advance
