1997 Other Mitsubishi Models 3000GT Stalling

Hi, I have a 1997 3000GT, 5 Speed with 81,000 miles. The vehicle starts and runs great, but lately at stop signs the vehicle's RPM starts dropping and stalls while this is happening I see the oil gauge also dropping until it stalls. As soon as it stall, I am able to turn the vehicle back on. The only way to keep the vehicle running is to step on gas to raise the RPM.

FIrst check for vacuum leaks and leaks in the air intake tube between the Mass Airflow Meter and the throttle body. Also try cleaningout the throttle body with carb cleaner and a rag, clean the Idle Speed Control Motor as well, this should help stabilize the idle. If not you may need to replace the Idle Speed Contol Motor
