Ok my montero has a problem with rpm, when I start the motor the choke run good the problem is when the choke turn off the rpm go up 1500 rpm for 2 seconds and then go to 900 always in parking or neutral, when I put on D on the transmition the rpm are in 1000 and runs good, I did the timing with the computer jumper in ground

Is it a Carb or an EFI fuel system?

You probably have a sticking throttle plate/kinked acc. Cable or a problem with idle air control valve/motor and the throttle position sensor-
