2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Loud banging noise when driving.

My car makes a loud, and I mean loud, banging noise every bump I hit. It sound to be coming from the front passanger side. I looke at the strut under the hood and my strut mount is worn out from one side and the top of the strut is rubbing against it, it's not steady and centered like the driver side one? Was something not installed? Note: I had a mechanic shop replace my springs with aftermarket ones.
