1992 Mitsubishi Lancer Four Wheel Drive Manual

HI THERE! MY CAR PROBLEM IS LIKE APROBLEM OF MICKEYMICKEY1969. MY GLXi LANCER DID NOT ACCELERATE IN A NORMAL WAY. MAXIMUM SPEED FOR 1ST IS 20KPH, FOR 2ND-30KPH, FOR 3RD - 40KPH, FOR 4TH - 60KPH AND FOR THE 5TH IS 70KPH. ITS HARD FOR ME TO OVERTAKE BECAUSE WHEN REACHING THE MAXIMUM SPEED, IT WON'T ACCELERATE. YOU NEED TO SLOW DOWN SPEED JUST TO ACCELERATE. THE ENGINE DID NOT STOP. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IT DID NOT ACCELERATE WHEN REACHING THE MAXIMUM SPEED. I HOPE YOU CAN GIVE THE ANSWER TO MY PROBLEM. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS.

Could be caused by the following:

Oxygen sensor
Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)

Sometimes, what feels like a hesitation is actually ignition misfire rather than lean misfire. The causes of ignition misfire may include:

Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Wet plug wires
