Hi, guys.

I have a Mitsubishi Galant 2004, I have change the sparks plugs to fusion bosch, but for some reason the engine shakes while the car is in park position. Do you guys know what should I do to correct the problem.

thank you very much

Hi there,

best first check the engine compressions, no use doing a tune if the comps are low. Also get a scan done to check for any unresolved fault codes, start here.

Thank you for replying. Is it possible to check the engine compression by my self or do I need to bring to dealer to check?

Hi there,

This is a simple job but you do need a comp tester, do you have one? Let me know and I will talk you through the process.

Hi there,

Warm up the engine, remove spark plugs, number leads so as not to mix them up, remove coil lead from distributor and earth, fit comp tester into spark plug hole (they normally screw in) with full throttle crank engine over 2-3 revolutions, note down comp with Cyl no, re set comp gauge to zero remove and fit into next cyl, do same as first. Do all 4 and report comps here, you can do this twice with a little oil in the cyl this is a wet test do this after the dry test and compare wet & dry readings of each cylinder, this is what I need to know.
