Hi. 04 Galant sat idle 3 mts due to a crash. Started it up 3 days ago. 1st day, ran normal. 2nd day, serpentine belt began squeaking. 3rd day, turned on a/c, engine began hesitating & shaking, causing the car to shake, idling low & have to put it in Neutral to keep it from stalling. Turned the a/c off, ran fine for about half hour, then all the above symptoms began WITHOUT the a/c on & still doing it. It acts & sounds like a car that is misfiring or needs a tune up badly or has a spark plug that popped out. This all started about a half hour after I turned the a/c on. Now, the engine shakes while in Park or stopped at a light & hesitates/spudders while accelerating up until around 40 mom. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I'm embarrassed to say that I cannot donate until I get paid on Thursday.

Sometimes accidents do some strange thins. One thing could be impurities in the gas tank getting sloshed around and getting caught up in the in tank filter. I f applicable replace the in line fuel filter, I don' t think your car has one but check the owners manual. As far as the A/C and the belt noise it could kind of be the same thing. You might need the R134 and oil changed. I also think that the motor mounts might have gotten broken which can cause a lot of strange issues. I tall depends on the accident and it is actually something to check on in any higher mileage vehicle. Other than that I would check for broken wires. Just try to trace the wires from the damaged areas and run them to the problem areas. You might also check the Throttle position sensor or TPS and make sure that is all okay. Some of these suggestions are really hard to gauge as I don't know how the car was damaged and all sorts of things can happen. You kind of have a tough one on your hands and I might be a little off on some of the ideas. But no worries as we really have the best team of techs that have seen it all. I f things don't work out let me know and I will get someone who might have a better idea.
Oh, get the fuel pressure checked to stat with as that is where anyone is going to tell you to start with engine issues like you have. The A/C is a bit of a mystery though. I can only think it might be a damaged ground or broken wire.
Let me know and we will get you straightened out.
