2000 Mitsubishi Galant Poor Acceleration

When I accelerate, it seems as if the car chokes. The engine starts to "putt putt" when I hit the gas. I'm not sure if the car needs a tune up or if something is wrong with the gas line. I've put gas treatment in the car when I use regular "87" gas. I was thinking also, maybe the fuel injectors are clogged? Please let me know as I don't want to be take for a ride at the mechanic shops. Thanks for your help.

I got a 2003 galant 2.4 4cyl and it also does the putt putt when I leave my drive way or get on a main road and go like from 20 to 45 mph it does the putt putt but when I push the gas it returns to normal im guna try getting my

spark plus and wires, pcv valve, oxygen sensor, fuel filter, distributer cap and rotor fixed see what that does

since its at 100,000 miles

if its ur fule then the fuel system kis on recall call ur local dealership with ur car vin number
