I bought a 1997 eclipse gst, the tubro needed to be replaced. So I rebuilt it and put it back on, it smoked white with the old turbo and still smokes white now. Turbo spools up and sounds good. Butthe car is burning oil or something, it can go through about 2 quarts in 1 hour, but does not burn blue, No sings of burning oil, just white smoke! What could this be?

White exhaust is a sign of vapor usually comes from a bad headgasket or a cracked/warped head, which could be diluting down your oil causing it to burn off. Check the compression on each cylinder, lowest shoudl be no more then 25% less then the highest. I.E 100=highest lowest must be over 75
