1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 97 eclipse gst turbo there is a knocking in the upper side of engine between 2 and 3 cyl there is also a code coming up saying camshift post. Cenf and bank 1 unit malfution what is this.

Make sure to check your timing and make sure it is right there is a pulley that is called the dampner pully, make sure that it has a metal ring inside it you will notice if it is gone. Behind that you remove the plastic guard covering the timing belt and make sure the pulley's all line up if not get it adjusted, I had the same problem on my 97 gsx.
