If I drive my car when it's cold I have no problem but when it warms up it stumbles bad. It doesn't accelerate at all really and if I try to step on it to get it to go it will backfire. It has a rebuilt engine and new transmission. Sat for about a year during the build and ran fine before. I have replaced plugs, plug wires, CAM sensor, and coil tested good. I'm leaning towards a fuel issue or maybe a clogged cat but due to a lack of cash I need to try to narrow it down so I don't buy parts I don't need. But I don't get it because it only does it when warmed up. And there is no check engine light. Thanks!

Run the codes -- sometimes a check engine light won't come on but there will be codes.

Backfiring is a sign of too much fuel.

I'm not familiar with your year -- I assume its fuel injected?

Yes it's fuel injected. Too much fuel? I didn't think I was getting enough because my last plugs (which were new) were white and there isn't black smoke coming out of the exhaust. On my car I can key dance and there were no codes. Which is odd because this definitely seems like a major malfunction that would throw a code. My plug wires are at about 3k ohms and chilton suggest 8k. Could this be the problem or do you think it is fuel related? Also, I don't know a lot about exhaust systems but I don't think I have a cat. It look more like a resonator. Can resonators get blocked up too?
