Midlife crisis

Just bought the truck. It has a newly rebuilt buick 350 roadmaster engine that had 70,000 miles, headers, large torque converter, brake booster, 4 barrel carb, power steering pump, corvette tranny, stall converter, and has been lowered with a beautiful stance and dual exhaust which are throaty. It easily smokes the tires and is pretty fast. I just wonder if a new cam or something will really make it move faster. I can put another 2k into it but only if it makes a big differance. I really want a top notch street rod and think I have a good start.

Sounds like you have a good set up already for a truck.

I suggest a speed shop to evaluate the motor to see what cam it has now and if anything else could be done to improve performance
