1982 Chevy Truck Four Wheel Drive Automatic 10000 miles

Yeah I have a 1982 Chevy pickup automatic. Me and my family was working on it. Brand new transmission and torque converter. When we went to test it. It wont shift into gear and its leaking transmission fluid at the front of the transmission. We dont know wats wrong.

From the way it sounds you may have incorrectly installed the torque converter and broke the oil pump drive teeth. Or you have cut the oring on the fill tube and it's leaking there. Or the cooling lines are loose or leaking there.
