Hi! I have a 2002 Mercury Villager Minivan. It has 110,000 miles approx. 6cyl. And the maintenence has been kept up on. The major tune ups were just done, the Timing belt/water pump replaced, and we keep up with all the regular maintence. The problem is we use it for commuting as well and going up the 14 freeway is a incline and im loosing power. It will slow down to 55 mph on the inclines and I will have the pedal to the metal. It doesnt have power. It just feels like it wont GO. Im not sure if this is an engine or a transmission problem and I would like to know where to start. The check engine light IS on and they always want to charge you just to read the problem!
