2002 Mercury Sable Stalling at low speed

I have a 02 merc sable that has just recently started stalling at slow speeds. Mainly when I hit rush hour traffic and come from cruising speeds down to stop and go traffic. The motor hesitates and then stalls when I get under 10 mph. It will usually start right back up but sometimes takes a few minutes. It only happens at slow speeds.
