This PCV valve is not a typical location valve. This valve is located down in by the throttle body. Here are some diagrams (below) that will help you get the job done.
Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
Cheers, Ken

What is the best way to pull the old valve out. Have gotten to the point of pulling everything but the old valve. Can not get it to move using pliers or anything else. Car has way to many miles on it for this old one to still be on.

This can be tough because the rubber grommet becomes brittle not allowing the valve to be removed, try heating it up with a hair blower and pry it out of there is the grommet breaks you will need a new one.
Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
