My head lights just stopped working the running lights work and the bulbs are fine

Check the master fuses in the power distribution box under the hood. One of the maxifuses may have gone out.

I had the same thing happen to my 1996 Mercury Sable the other night. Both headlights stopped working including the high beams. The parking and brake lights still work. The bulbs and fuses look ok? Did you figure it out?
