1994 Mercury Sable I could really need some help

I have a 1994 Mercury Sable GS. The transmission has a problem. When you put it in drive it will go but it seems to down shift to what seems to be neutral and then shifts to 1st and gets stuck. I was told the transmission needed work so had it rebuilt and it didn't fix it then they said it was the wireing so had the wires to the transmission and motor replaced but it is still doing the same thing.

Have you taken it back to the trans shop that misdiagnosed it in the first place? You have to by law allow them the chance to fix it before taking them to court to get your money back. If they refuse, take it to a reputable trans shop and have them fix it, then take the original to court to recoup your money and lost time, it wiould be worth it. If the computer, wiring and trans have been "replaced" it is obvious that they are trying everything to fix it, besides actually finding the problem
