1992 Mercury Sable no steering

I had replaced subframe bushing because we could not turn steering wheel. When taken for a test drive it steered fine for a couple blocks, then the steering wheel went to a free wheeling no steering at all. What needs repaired next

Hi:
If you were freewheeling (no steering) something is disconnected. Make sure the rack is still connected to the steering column. Also, make sure the tierods are still attached. If everthing is attached and there is still no control, it sounds like something has come apart in the rack and pinion.
