This is my mother in laws car. It died on her at the gas station and won't start again. It turns over just fine, but isn't getting any spark. It is getting gas so I know the fuel pump is good.
I replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and wires a couple of months back. She had the ignition pickup replaced about a year ago. Today I replaced the coil and still couldn't get it to start. I put it on a code reader and got 2 codes: #21 ECT (engine coolent temperature sensor) out of range and #24 ACT ( air control temperature sensor) out of range. I'm having a hard time believing that either of these sensors would make the car not start. But could they? I'm kind of leaning towards the ignition control module being bad. She's on a limited budget and I don't want to go out and spend $100 for a new one just to find out that is not what the problem is. And like I said the codes didn't even bring that into play. Anyone have any ideas?

Some newer models cut fuel of for oil or coolant problems, I think coolant sensor is only 15.00 or so, Maybe you could find more expensive parts in junkyard. Also make shure there is not a defective alarm system in the car.
