hi, I have a 1973 mercury comet, it has been sitting in our shop for over 10 years, I have put a battery in it and tried to start it. All that happens is a click. What is the problem?
Also could you tell me where the oil dipstick on this model is? I can't find it anywhere

See if you are getting power past the relay when you try to start the car. Make sure your battery is fully charged. Then check to see if the starter is getting good voltage. If not then the starter is bad, if no juice to the starter your relay isn't put the juice through to the starter.
