1997 Mercury Mountaineer help me

My car stalled and I could not start it after that, would could be the problem? I havn't had any problems until now, does anyone know what it is?

Hello,

A more detailed description of what happened would help.

Were you driving it, were you stopped at a light/stop sign.

Does it spin over and just not start or it doesn't spin over.

Did the Engine light come on before anything happened?

I was at a light and it stalled, tried to turn it over and it turns over but will not start

Is engine light on?

Can you hear the Fuel Pump run for about 3 seconds then shut down with key in the on position not start?

Check for Spark at the Plugs - Should be Bright Bluish/White.

Not sure have trouble hearing what else could I check? No engine light came on it just stalled and it turns over be will not start.

Ok, since there is no engine light it is most likely a fuel problem.

Need to check fuel pump relay.... It is located in the Power Distribution Box under the hood.

Also check the Fuel Inertia Shut Off Switch it is located behind passenger kick panel.
