2006 Mercury Marquis Window Problems

My driver side window will go down but it won't go up. Once it went down by accident abd I had to grab the window and pull it up while pushibg the button, it was about to rain. And the passenger window won't go down or up with the swicth on the passenger side only the driver side

Hello -

To better assist you is your model the GS or LS and what is your engine size in liter.

Most likely on the driver's side it sounds like your window regulator or motor is bad. Remove the door panel. Look at the cable/regulator really good to see if the cable if bound or twisted.

If that looks okay then unplug the motor, put 12v on one pin of the motor and a ground to the other. Then swap them for the motor to go in the other direction. What do you find?
