This just started happening. Drove vehicle for about 70 miles and stopped for a rest, shut-down for a couple of minutes. When I come back to leave hit the key engine turns and everything sounds normal it just won't start? Let cool down for 45-1hr and she starts back up and runs great no missing very smooth. The car ran fine no temp issues no CEL's I just cant' figure this out. MAF was replaced about a year ago. It starts right up in the morning but if you run her for a while and shut-down she won't start back up for a period of time. Starter is turning motor just won't fire or something, what should I check?

Next time it cranks and refuses to start do below to determine if its a fuel or spark problem and then comeback

Get a carb cleaner and spray into the carb or the throttle body on an EFI. Did it start and die? If not disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors-
