1993 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I used to be able to push the odometer button and turn the switch on a honda and the light would go out. This info came from the dealer. How can I make the check engine light go out on this car. It runs fine and has no noticeable problems thanks

The computer has identified a problem within the engine management system-you need to have it scan for OBD1 code/s to find out what's causing the the light to come On this is the starting point-
