1999 Mercedes Benz C280 2.8L V6 with 39k. At the leg area of the passenger and driver cabin there is vibration when driving at any speeds. When traveling at high speeds you can feel it in the front seats, steering wheel (mild), the shifter, and especially near the DRIVERS feet near accelator and brake. One thing that is distinct about the vibration is that there is a sound associated with it, when you are at high speeds it makes a sound as if it was vibrating against something. Can someone point me in the right direction? I have taken to two mercedes dealers but they couldnt pint point the error and just said let it get worsen.

It would help me very much if can find this problem early.

thanks

You have described the same problem I have - with the exception that my vibrations only are noticeable above 60mph and their is no noise. The vibration is primarily thru the seats, stick shifter, dashboard, floor etc. Vibration in the steering wheel is minimal - but more than should be. I had my car at the MB dealer last week and taking back again as they did not solve the problem. Their initial solution was to replace rear tires and do front end alignment and wheel balance. I am the second owner of this car - bought it from the MB dealer 6 weeks ago - and it has 65k miles. The prior service records indicate the previous owner had the same problem. Any comments would be appreciated.
