hi, my 99 c230 wiper goes halfway, stalls and then completed cycle at a very low speed how can I tell if it is the windshield wiper linkage (gearing) or the wiper motor that is causing the problem?

Hello,
It sounds like the motor is wearing out but to be sure lets test the power supply to the wiper motor and the 3 relays that power the system. Here is a guide and wiring diagram to help us do some easy testing to figure out what's going on.
Here are the wiper wiring and fuse panel locations to help us figure out what's going on.
Check out the diagrams (Below)
Please let us know what happens.
Cheers, Ken

I'm replacing the wiper transmission on my 1999 C230K. I've purchased a used transmission and have a new motor. I think that there must be a procedure for making sure the wiper is correctly aligned (synchronized with the motor) disassembly/reassembly. Can you provide this or the entire procedure for replacing the wiper transmission? Thanks!
