If the van sat more than two days without being driven the battery would be dead. I removed the fuse and the drain went away. What would be causing the drain in this system?

Good morning,

What else does that fuse control?

What fuse number did you remove? I want to check the fuse block for other items the fuse may control.

It is a 10 amp fuse at the top of the fuse box under the hood. It is labeled as memory IOD. It seems to control the stereo, gauge cluster, and door locks. If I leave the fuse in the gauges stay in their last position when I power down. If I remove it they go to the starting point when I power down. Fuse in the door locks work whenever I need it, fuse out the door locks only work when the car is running.

The fuse is small and sits alone next to where the battery wires come in to the power box. I think that it is fuse #10.

Is this a CD player radio? If there is a CD stuck in the player it will drain the battery down. What number fuse is it? Can you upload a picture?

It is a cheap replacement that you have to plug in your devices to play music.

I would unplug the radio first to see if the draw goes away.
