Can anyone please tell me where the diagnostics connector/port is located on my '93 Mazda B2600-I pickup? Also, can anyone verify the procedure for manually obtaining the trouble codes using an LED or by jumpering certain pins to make an LED blink on the dash?

There should be two 'green' connectors under your hood on one of the two fenders. One of these 'green' connectors has six pins in it while the other is a single pin connector. The six pin connector is for the factory diagnostic equipment. BUT if you us a jumper wire on the single pin 'green' connector and ground that wire with the key on. This will make the engine light 'flash' the codes' However if the light does not flash. The engine light may need to be reset, which means tkaing it to a dealer.
