Horrible squealing noise

Hello I have a 93 Mazda 626 4 cylinder and recently my friend changed the alternator belt and when I went to start the car its makes this horrible squealing noise and everything is tightned. He told me that it could be a number of things for instance it could be misaligned pulleys or frozen power steering fluid I just want to know how to make that horrible noise stop.

Imports like the dealer belts, and or your friend may have it too tight or too losose, if it wasnt there before, I would suspect one of the above
