Whenever I am stopped at a stoplight in my Mazda 626 with the air conditioner running, my car jerks and appears to lunge forward slightly. I have no idea why it is doing this, I keep it pretty well maintained and in good running condition.

Also my car tends to overheat when the air conditioner is running on hot days. It also blows out hot air when I am stopped at stoplights. But when I am driving the air turns back cold.

Please any help will be appreciated, I need any information you can provide a.S.A.P. Due to a family vacation coming up soon!

Thanks for your time

All fingers point to the coolant fan
check coolant fan operation
with AC on radiator coolant fan should be on
if not start by checking the fuses and relays
