I would like to have an idea of what might be wrong with my car for not reasonably taking off fast, ( I dont expect a Nitro take off, though). It takes a very slow and gradual acceleration to get it to get to its peak which when it reaches, runs well.

Do you have a check engine light and when was it last major tune-up?

You can have your fuel pressure check to make sure the fuel pump when call upon it provides the demand during acceleration and wide open throttle-

Also check for restriction in the exhaust and have the throttle position sensor tested-
