I am wanting to convert my manual climate control to an automatic or digital and wanted to know if there was any way I could do this, either by taking a Climate control module from another newer vehicle and installing it in my own or finding a part from another vehicle altogether that would fit mine? Also If I am unable to find a replacement part, what other alternatives would I have instore?

Hi cgunnells,

Thank you for the donation.

Between manual and auto HAVC, it is not a plug and use type of conversion.

The auto version has additional sensors that are not used on the manual version. For the conversion, wiring would have to be redone and additional sensors and controls and that would require exensive work unless you can get a complete wireharness assy with the relevant sensors.

For different year models, it would be even more difficult, especially with the newer models whereby body control modules are used.

I can't think of any other alternative if you can't get the correct parts to use and a wiring schematic would be required to understand the system.
