Engine problem
1995 Mazda 626 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 75,000 miles

I just bought a 1995 mazda 626 from the 1st owner. It only has 75,000 miles on it, and it seems to be in good condition, but today I drove it for the first time on my errands and I experienced a shaking when I'm stopped at lights or when the car isn't moving. The car also has a high pitched noise when you hit the pedal and it go away when you let off the pedal. I don't know if these two problems are related, but that's what I'm experiencing. Could the shaking and the noise be related, and would it be due to an ignition coil needing to be replaced?

Its a good idea to start with a tune up
if it hasn’t had one
as for the noise is it an exhaust leak
or its coming from under the hood where the belt
check the belts and fluids

Make sure you check the resistance of the spark plug wires. These spark plug wires can break inside and you will not know it by looking at them. If the Car runs fine at a higher RPM but shakes at lower RPM the resistance may be too high and the plugs and wires need to be replaced.
