1993 Mazda 626 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

engine timing calls for jumper wire between ten and gnd terminals at the underhood diagnosis terminal.

how can or should this be done?

what kind of wire?

any help greatl;y appreciated

You can use a paperclip or get a piece of 16ga. Wire and crimp some male terminals (or female, but generally male) on both ends.
Insert them into the appropiate slots on the diagnostic terminal slot.
This will put ECM in diagnostic mode, removing all computer advance (timing) allowing you to set mechanical timing.
