1993 Mazda 626 engine cranks but won't start

My car was running rough (sputtering) we changed the fuel filter and took it for a test drive. When we got back from the test drive it died. The engine cranks but won't start now.

this is the second e-mail I sent the first one I gave you the wrong year of my car.

please help me.

Will it fire up with starting fluid sprayed in the throttle body then die when it is used up? If so its fuel related. If not its probably spark and you shoudl check for bright blue sparks at each plug.

I had the same problem and replaced the the entire dist. And it fired up and is still running.
