Temperature sensor in manifold broke off and will not come out. I bought an inline adapter but the gauge goes to full hot when running. It takes a few minutes after I start it to go to full hot. What do you think the problem may be?

Hi,

Can you clarify how it broke and what inline adapter you installed? Also, is this the factory sensor or an aftermarket or add on temp gauge? We don't have a manual on the online service that we use so I just need to get caught up to where you are.

Maybe just get some pictures of what you are dealing with under the hood.

Depending on what type of sensor this is, I suspect the adapter is throwing off the reading.

Let me know this stuff and we can go from there. Thanks

Good evening,

What engine do you have?

Can you post a picture of the broken sensor?
