I have a big problem with the car, but only on steep climbs. I feel like the car is going uphill against its will. It's really slow. There are no problems with the gears on coastal roads that don't have good climbs. The engine is new and everything is fine. Do you have any idea about the issue?

Hi,

It could be a few things. For example, a partially clogged catalytic converter certainly causes a power loss. Also, a weak fuel pump can do the same. Even a plugged air filter can cause power loss.

What I recommend is to have the computer scanned to determine what trouble codes are stored. That should point you in the right direction.

If scanning doesn't help, take a look through these links that explain how to check the exhaust as well as the fuel pressure, and let us know what you find.

Let us know your thoughts and questions.

Take care,
