Low engine oil light turns on only when the engine is warmed up

Hello, my low engine oil light (yellow) keeps coming on the dash when the engine is warmed up. Goes off when the engine is cooled. The dipstick is showing oil is full, I recently serviced the car 500 miles ago with fresh oil any advice?

Is this light for oil level or low oil pressure?

It sounds like the pressure light if it comes on when it is hot and not when it is cold. That would indicate either low oil pressure from a bad oil pump or a bad sending unit. I would have the actual pressure tested to be sure the pressure is good.

If it is the oil level, then there is a sensor in the oil pan for that. Check and make sure it is connected. If it is, replace it.

Thank you Roy. I will check the sensor in the oil pan. I was hoping it was the sensor as it's the easiest to fix. I hope.
