My car needs your help. Overheating, no leaks, coolant spills from overflow tank when you turn engine off, no coolant in oil, new top on overflow tank. Gauge shows overheating, never let it get on red, little white smoke at times from tail pipes. Runs perfect until needle get to "N" then it starts missing at first then the overheating, it heats up more when is on the move than when is idle. Any ideas? Please!

P.S. New water pump and new thermostat

Check coolant system with a pressure checker for a head gasket problem. There is also a chemical you can add to coolant sold at auto parts that will check as well. Also, when engine is hot, disconnect fans if electric and check radiator for cold spots there should not be any it should be same temperature all over as well as corrosion/greenish color usually at bottom or sides.
