Do you know what causes a problem in a 2009 diesel holden Collorado when you get to about 3000 revs and you take your foot of the accelerator to change gears and it makes a whirling noise? The engine light is on and the car does not have the same amount of power as it normally does feels as if the turbo is not kicking in the car feels dead! We hurt changed the fuel filter and the light went off but when I went for a drive and started getting up around 80 the engine just went dead and changing down a gear it did not rev any harder after that it could not rev above 2500 revs!
Please help

The turbo may have failed, I would be getting this checked out first.

Thank you for getting back to me
I had a mate who is an auto electrician look at it and the problem was a vacuum valve near the turbo which was not moving up and down correctly be aide it had dirt and what ever else stopping it we cleaned that out and the car is working perfectly! The sounds that I was telling you about before was the valve letting on air but not being able to get rid of it therefore it was coming back through the air intake!

Just telling you what the reason was just incase anyone else has the same problem just have to clean it and make sure it has free movement it should move about one inch up and down mine was moving about 1 cm!

Thank you for your help much appreciated
