Loses power, does not reach all the boost psi limit

I have an ecoboost. When I hit all the gas it always gets to 20 psi. The problem is that recently when I do the same thing the psi only gets to 10 and the car feels slower and it does not reach the redline. When it happens I shut the car off and turn it on again and the problem goes away. What could it be?

Have it scanned for codes first probably a sensor or something is messing up causing it, especially if you turn it off and it works for a minute.

If you decide you would like to conduct the scan yourself here is a link to an article that features written step by step instructions and pictures explaining how to do the scan yourself, also I have included a link to our YouTube channel with a how to video on code scanning.

This is applicable even if your check engine light is not on.

Most scanners are inexpensive to purchase, you can purchase one online from sites like Amazon.com
